Thule EasyFold XT or Hollywood Sport Rider?

Compare two specific carriers by loaded-bike weight, fit and handling.

By Adventure Called Life editorial • Updated September 4, 2026

This is a comparison of manufacturer specifications, not a hands-on road test. The EasyFold XT here is US model 903202; the Hollywood model is the Sport Rider for Electric Bikes. Check the exact model offered by the seller.

Begin with your loaded bike weight

Choose the carrier after weighing or verifying the bicycle as it will be transported. Then check the vehicle and hitch, followed by the tires, wheelbase and frame attachment. A single failed requirement is enough to rule out the combination. Do not compensate for a per-bike overload with an empty second tray.

When the Thule may suit you

Consider the EasyFold XT when each bicycle is within its individual limit and the carrier’s compact storage and included ramp solve real handling problems. Check the frame clamp position, tire straps and whether the ramp arrangement works with your vehicle.

Skip this particular model if your transported bicycle exceeds 65 lb or fails another dimensional requirement. A heavier bike does not become compatible because the product description mentions e-bikes. If you are buying a newer EasyFold generation, use that generation’s manual instead of this table.

When the Hollywood may suit you

Consider the Sport Rider when a higher individual bike limit and wide tire accommodation match your requirements and you have the specified 2-inch receiver. Its own weight belongs in both the hitch calculation and your handling decision.

Skip it if the required receiver or installation is unsuitable, or if handling the carrier itself is the obstacle. Confirm the hook position for a step-through frame and any adapter requirement directly with the manufacturer. This comparison does not establish compatibility with a particular RV, trailer or hitch extension.
