A clearer plan for getting outside.

Adventure Called Life is Joe Washam’s independent website for adults making beginner e-bike decisions and planning weekend rides, starting in East Tennessee.

How we choose what to publish

We start with a practical decision: whether a bicycle fits your routine, what its complete setup costs, or what needs checking before a ride. A useful guide should help you choose an action, including deciding to buy nothing yet.

Research and firsthand experience are different

Our current buying comparisons are based on manufacturer specifications and named sources. They are not hands-on product tests. Any future firsthand report will identify the equipment, conditions and actual experience behind it. We do not invent customer reviews, test scores or stock checks.

Regional guides identify the official access source and check date. They cannot establish conditions at the time you arrive. Product listings can change generations, bundles and sellers; check the exact model before purchase.

How the site earns

Some retailer links are affiliate links. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. We may also sell original planning downloads. Commission availability does not establish that an item fits your bicycle, home or vehicle.

Joe’s other work

The book and earlier adventure story live in the archive. The separate app directory is at Joe’s apps. Joe’s current YouTube channel is Jolly Reactions; this website has its own e-bike and ride-planning focus.

Corrections

If a model specification, source link or route detail needs correction, email hello@adventurecalledlife.org with the page and the source. We review substantiated corrections and update the page’s date when the content changes.
